Ad Sextam
St. Benedict's has been the parish church of Mount Saviour since the monks came up the river in 1857. The parish prays in the abbey church, and the monks pray with the parish: their day of psalms is our day too, and anyone may come in and sit in the back for as long as they like.
Come in by the west doors and sit anywhere in the nave — the monks are in the choir ahead of you. You don't need to know the psalms or when to stand; just follow the people around you. If you'd like to talk with a monk afterwards, ring the porter's bell.
